过去时态是什么？
一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的行为或存在的状态。
构成法：
（1）动词be的一般过去时有两种形式：
第一人称单数或第三人称单数用was，其余人称用were.
When I was a child, I was afraid of dogs
Last year Ray was 22.
We were hungry after the journey
一般疑问句变法是:
将句中was, 或 were 提到句首。通常第一人称要变为第二人称。
Was the weather nice when you were on holiday?
Were they expensive?
否定句的变法是:
在句中的was, 或 were后加not.
was-wasn't
The weather wasn't good last week
were-weren't
There weren't any shorts.
（2）There be结构:
be的形式应跟它后面的名词一致。既单数was,用复数用were ； 如有多个名词，跟第一个一致。
一般疑问句的变法是:
将was, 或 were提到句首。
Was there a coat in the picture?
No, there wasn’t.
Yes, There was.
Were there any shorts in the picture?
No, there weren’t.
Yes， there were.
否定句的变法是：
在was, 或 were后加not，并注意缩写。

表示过去某个时间内的行为或状态，等时间状语连用。
