语法：
宾语从句（Object Clauses)
宾语是句子的一个重要成分，它可以由名词、代词、名词短语或句子充当。当一个句子充当宾语时，这个句子就被称为宾语从句。宾语从句与主句之间由连接词来连接。
1. 引导词
引导宾语从句的引导词按所引导的句子结构特点可以分为三类：
1）that 引导的宾语从句（that 在口语或非正式文体中常省略）
如：I know (that) he is a Canadian athlete.
我知道他是一名加拿大运动员。
2）If/whether引导的宾语从句
if和whether 都可以引导宾语从句，意为“是否”，且在从句中不充当任何句子成分，两者通常能互换，但不可省略。从句表一般疑问的意义。
如：I don't know if it is polite in Japan.
我不知道在日本这样是否礼貌。
whether与if引导宾语从句时，一般可以通用，但下列情况下，whether不可换用if
①从句中有or not时
如：I don't know whether or not it rains.
我不知道会不会下雨。
②有些动词后面只能跟whether不能跟if，如discuss
③从句充当介词宾语时
如：They are talking about whetherhe will come here.
他们正在谈论他是否将有来这里。
④连接词后接不定式时
如：I don't know whether to stay or go.
我不知道该留还是该走。
3）疑问词引导的宾语从句
疑问词包括疑问代词（what, which, who, whose)和疑问副词（when, how, where, why)。
如：Can you tell me where they are?
你能告诉我他们在哪里吗？
4）语序
宾语从句用陈述句语序
如：What are they talking about? I want to know.
他们正在谈论什么？我想知道。
I want to know what they are talking about.
我想知道他们在谈论什么。
5）时态
①当主句中的谓语动词是一般现在时态时，宾语从句中的时态不受主句影响。当主句中的谓语动词是一般过去时态时，宾语从句则使用相应的过去时态。
如：I heard you had a bad cold.
我听说你患了重感冒。
②如果宾语从句所表达的内容是客观真理或客观事实时，从句中动词的时态不受主句的谓动词时态的限制。
如：The teacher said that the earth moves round the sun.
老师说地球围绕太阳转。
