Thereareagreatmanyadvantagesofstudyingoverseas.Firstandforemost,livingandstudyingabroadoffersstudentsadifferentperspectiveoftheworld.Onauniversitycampus,internationalstudentsarelikelytoencountertheircounterpartsfromvariouscountriesandareasandareexposedtodiverseideasandvalues.Whatismore,overseasexperienceisthebestopportunityforthereal-lifeuseofforeignlanguages.Thereisnobetteropportunitytoimprovesecond-languageskillsthanlivinginthecountryinwhichitisspoken.

Generallypeaking,itismyviewthatalthoughgoingabroadisexpensiveandperhapspainful,thepayoffisworthwhile.Inthefirstplace,inadditiontoknowledge,overseasstudentscangainpreciousexperiencesthatthosewhostayathomewillneverhave.Furthermore,overseasexperience,frustratingandpainfulasitmaybe,isconducivetothegrowthofadolescents.
