Thosepeoplewhoholdtheformeropinionbelievethatitisimpossibletodemandcollegestudentstobecomeanall-roundgeneralistwithinfouryears.Inaddition,withincreasingelaborationofsocialdivision,thespecialistsareinmoreurgentneed.However,stillothersadvocatethedifferentopinion.Theyholdthatcollegestudentsshouldstretchthemselvestoasmanyfieldsaspossibletoadapttotheincreasinglyfiercecompetition.Besides,generalistsarehighlydemandedintheinformationage.

Personally,Iaminfavoroftheformeropinion.Idon’tthinkitisadvisablethatcollegestudentsequallyspendtheirtimeandenergyonseveralfields.Besides,thedevelopmentofhigh-techneedsspecialists.Therefore,Ithinktobeaspecialististherightchoiceformoststudents.
