Accordingtoasurvey,inrecentyearsthemonthlyexpenditureofacollegestudenthasbeenonthesharprise.Manycollegestudentshavenoconceptofthriftintheirmind.Theytakeitforgrantedthattheyspendmoneyfromtheirparentsbeforetheyenterintothesociety.Thisextravagantspendingisprimarilycausedbythefollowingfactors.

Firstofall,nowadaysmostofthestudentsaretheonlychildrenoftheirfamilies.Theyaretheappleintheirfamily’seyesandnaturallygetmorecareandpocketmoney.Inaddition,withtheimprovementoflivingstandards,parentscanaffordhigherexpenditureoftheirchildren.Moreover,somestudentsliketopursuefashionandtrends,whichtendtoneedmoremoney.Finally,campusloveisalsoapossiblefactorcausingextravagantspending.

Frommypointofview,acollegestudent,asapureconsumer,shouldlearntobethrifty.Weshouldlimitourexpenditureondailynecessitiesbutnotbuywhateverwewantregardlessoftheirprices.Thehabitofthriftcanhelpusformrightvaluesandisfavorabletoourfuturedevelopment.
