Ithasbeenwellknownthatduetopiracylegitimateproducers,inventorsandauthorshavesufferedlossesinmanyways.Atfirst,piratedcopiesoftencostmuchlessthantheoriginalones.Asaresult,theycanenjoyaconsiderablepriceadvantagedespitethepoorquality.Comparedwithpiratedproducts,theoriginalonessellpoorly.

Secondly,becauseofpoorquality,theauthors'reputationaswellasthepublishers'isgreatlyhurt.Moreover,piratedproductsmayalsohavenegativeimpactsoncustomersprovidedthatthoselegitimateproducers'enthusiasmisgreatlyhurt.Theproblemwillevolveintoaviciouscycle.

Inmyopinion,thegovernmentshouldlaunchmoreanti-piracycampaignsandstrengthensupervisiontofurthercleanupthebook,videoandsoftwaremarkets.Besides,ascustomers,weshouldraiseourawarenessonhowtouselegalproductsaswell.Onlyinthisway,Ithink,canwebringanendtopiracy.
