Thereisnodenyingthefactthatkeepingpetsisahotlydebatedtopictoday.Somepeopleclaimthatkeepingpetsisagoodthingtodo.Theybelievethatpets,likecatsanddogs,canhelprelievethelonelinesssufferedbyseniorcitizensandothersocialmemberswhoareconfinedtotheirhomesforthisreasonorthat.Theyalsoarguethatkeepingpetshelpsmankindunderstandanimals’worldanddeveloppositivefeelingstowardthem.

Others,however,holdtheoppositeview.Theyregardkeepingpetsasauselessbutharmfulthingtodo.First,petscantransmitdiseases.Secondly,thenoisesanddungofpetsaresourcesofpollution.Lastbutnotleast,asmanyrarebirdsandanimalsarekeptaspets,theywillsurelybehuntedonalargescale,whichmeansathreattothebalanceoftheecosystem.
