TheproblemofNEET,oncewell-knownintheUKandJapan,hasbeenbroughtintopublicattentionnowinChina.NEETreferstothegroupoftheyoungwhoarenotcurrentlyengagedineducation,employmentortraining.Mostoftheseyoungpeoplejuststayathomeoridleabout,avoidingemploymentandrelyingontheirparents.

Therearemainlytworeasonsforthisphenomenon.Foronething,withtheexpansionofuniversityenrollment,anincreasingnumberofcollegegraduatespourintojob-huntingmarketeveryyear.Unfortunately,someofthemarenotfullypreparedandthusbecomeunemployedthetimetheygraduate.Foranother,someyoungpeoplearebadlyspoiltastheonlychildoftheirfamily,sotheypsychologicallyandfinanciallydependontheirparentsevenwhentheyarealreadygrown-ups.

Tosolvethisproblem,first,collegesshouldprovidepre-jobtrainingcoursesfortheyoung.Second,parentsshouldcultivatetheirchildrenthesenseofindependence.Lastbutnottheleast,collegestudentsshouldequipthemselveswithskillsandknowledgesothattheywillbecomecompetitivewhenseekingjobs.
