Beijinghasplacedstrictrestrictiononthenumberofnewlypurchasedcarinthecityandthepolicybassparkedheateddiscussion.Somepeoplesupportthepolicy,sayingit，sapowerfulmethodtocopewiththeseveretrafficcongestioninthecapital.Withcarsincreasingdrasticallyinthepastfewyears,severetrafficjamsoccurnotonlyinrushhoursbutatanytimeofthedaynow.

Others,however,aiestronglyagainstthelimitations.Theyarguethatthegreatnumberofofficialcars，whicharefrequentlyused,isabigfactorcausingtrafficcongestion.Butthepolicymainlyaimsatprivatecarsandhasnodearrestrictionsontheuseofofficialcars.Besides,carpurchaselimitationwouldhinderthedevelopmentofChina'sautomobileindustry，andmorepeoplewouldlosetheirjobsasaresult.

Personally,Ithinktherestrictionofbuyinganduseofcars,officialcarsincladed,isinevitableandjustamatteroftimeforBeijing.Ifthenumberofcarsisnotlimited,therewillbeahugedisasterfortheenvironment,roadresources,thetraveldemandsofnormalpeopleandtheimprovementoflivingstandards.
