TheshowalsoincludesHemingway'sfirstshortstory.Itwaspublishedin1917inahighschoolmagazine.VisitorscanalsoseelettersbetweenHemingwayandotherwritersatthetime.

Afterthewriterdied,PresidentKennedysoughtCuba’spermissionforHemingway'swife,Mary,tovisittheislandandcollectthebelongings.AfishingboattransportedthepropertyfromHavanatoFlorida.
MaryHemingwayestablishedarelationshipwithKennedy’swife,Jacqueline,afterPresidentKennedywasmurderedin1963.Theylaterdecidedtokeepthewriter’sCubacollectionattheKennedylibrary.
