Thefollowingfundamentalcausescanaccountforthiskindofcraze.Firstandforemost,nowadayscollegestudentsfacegreatemploymentpressure.Civilservant,asoneofthemoststableprofessionsintoday’sChina,becomestheirpreferablechoice.Moreover,recently,thewelfareandsalaryofcivilservantshavebeenimprovedgreatly,whichundoubtedlyattractsmanypeople.Lastbutnotleast,thehighsocialpositionofcivilservantsisacrucialfactordrawingmanypeopletotakepartinthecivilservanttest.

Inmyopinion,thiscrazeincivilservanttestwillcontinueinthefollowingyears.However,fromthelongrun,itdoesnotdogoodtothedevelopmentofournation.Ifmosthighqualitytalentsgatherinthegovernmentdepartments,itmightleadtoawasteofresources.Accordingly,boththeindividualsandthegovernmentshouldhaveamoreobjectiverecognitionofthecivilservanttestcraze.
