Inthesecondplace,thereisfinancialsecurity.ManytimeswhatisportrayedoflifeinAmericaisalifewhere“moneyisnoobject”.Thefallacyinthisisthat,Eachpersonhastheirownpersonalstruggleandmoneyisanobjectforthemajorityofthepeople.inspiteofthecomparativelyhigherwagesavailable,thecostoflivingisalsohigher.Eventhoughitmayseemlikeoneismakingmoremoney,justasmuchisspentinsurviving.

ThirdlyisthebeliefthatintheAmericanwayoflifeeveryonehasagoodjob.Withtheincreasingadvancementsintechnology,awell-payingjobforthosecurrentlyintheworkforceisgettinghardertofind.Thosewhohavenotbeenexposedtocomputersandothernewmethodsofcommunicationarefindingthistobetrue.Asitstandsnow,thejobmarketisrequiringatleastatwo-yeardegreefromcollege,inordertomakeenoughtolivecomfortably.Eventhenwell-paidjobsarenoteasytofind,asitissometimesbelievedbecauseoftheportrayaloflifeinAmerica.
