Others,however,holdtheoppositeview.Theyregardkeepingpetsasauselessbutharmfulthingtodo.First,petscantransmitdiseases.Secondly,thenoisesanddungofpetsaresourcesofpollution.Lastbutnotleast,asmanyrarebirdsandanimalsarekeptaspets,theywillsurelybehuntedonalargescale,whichmeansathreattothebalanceoftheecosystem.

Weighingtheargumentsofbothsides,Iaminclinedtoagreewiththelatter.Anyway,wecanlessenourlonelinessandexpressourlovetowardanimalsinotherways.Anditismybeliefthatonlybyplacingmanandotherspeciesonanequalbasiscanweexpecttohavealivelyandcolorfulworld.
