Should Yuanmingyuan Be Rebuilt?

Yuanmingyuan, "Garden of all gardens", was burnt and fell into ruins in 1860. Recently my classmates had a discussion about whether it should be rebuilt or not.

Supporters of rebuilding the garden say only by doing so can we see the original sight of the garden, which reflects the Chinese civilization. And it will be another place of interest for tourists. If partly rebuilt, it will provide a comparison and help us remember the history.

Those who disagree think it more reasonable to keep the garden like this. The ruins will remind us of the past. We should never forget the history. Other buildings like Palace Museum and Summer Palace can also be symbols of the Chinese culture, so it isn’t necessary to rebuild this garden. Some also worry that the environment will be destroyed when the construction goes on in this district.

Personally, it is advisable to rebuild Yuanmingyuan , which will add beauty to the city . What’s more , the new scenic spot will no doubt promote the economic development of the local.

Nowadays, international communication has become more and more important, people prefer to communicate in languages, such as English, Arabic and Chinese. But many of the world's languages and culture are dying out. In this essay we will examine the problem of languages and culture dying and the solutions, such as writing books and increasing language population levels.

Firstly, as the technology improves, people around the world are relying more and more on electronic devices to communicate with each other. While this trend is helping the major culture, it is having a harmful effect on the minor culture that could be swallowed up by the major culture.

Secondly, some of the world's languages are not being learned widely by children or used in daily commerce. In some boarding schools, children were punished for speaking their parent's language.

Despite the desires of language and culture activists, the outlook is somewhat grim. People already realize this problem exists and are trying to solve it.

For one solution, people can record the culture and languages on books or tapes, making sure our descendants can learn or use them in the future.

The second solution is increasing the language population levels. Governments can make some policies, like encouragement for people to learn and teach the languages facing extinction, no matter whether the language is used in daily commerce or not. By trying to keep them alive, at least they have a future as second languages.

The important thing is to learn the elder's tongue and culture before it's too late. Otherwise we will lose them.

Myfavorite building is Zhuhai Fishing Girl, which is located at the scenicXianglu Bay, in Haibin Park. The statue is composed of granite and stands high, weighing 10 tons. It was built by a professor called Panhe fromGuangzhou Art College in 1982. Now it has become the landmark of Zhuhai. Itlooks so glorious.

Look, she holds a pearl highly in the air with both of herhands in an elegant pose, as if she is greeting the guests from also symbolizes the brightness of Zhuhai. Every year, thousands of peoplecome to see it with their own eyes.

If you travel to Zhuhai, I'd love to showyou around there. Maybe you'll have a nice time.

I'm always working hard for a bright future. I imagine what my life in 20 years will be like.

In 20 years, I will play an important role in my family. I will take care of my parents. Maybe I will be married and have a lovely child. In my free time, I will get together with my good friends to talk about the past school life. We can also do other things such as gardening and doing yoga.
